A Chris Forsberg Literacy Foundation
Shine with Stories is a national children's literacy foundation. We write, publish and place meaningful books into the hands of young readers, preschool through 2nd grade. Stories that build reading, kindness and confidence, and give a child the words for what they feel.

One sunset. One secret promise. A summer to remember.

A new book from Liz Forsberg.
Sold at race eventsHow it began
Chris Forsberg is a three-time Formula Drift champion. He is also the author of a picture book about Force, a little rescue cat who wanted the podium more than anything.
Copies went out at events, and children kept coming back to talk about the story. That was the moment. A book had made them feel brave, so the family started making more of them, and Shine with Stories began.
“Never give up. Never stop dreaming.”From the last page of The Story of Force. Every copy sold supports the foundation.
What we are made of
Printed books, given to keep, in the preschool through 2nd grade years when a reader is made.
Force is a little rescue cat with an enormous dream. Every child deserves a dream that size and a story that says yes to it.
A child who finds themselves in a book stands a little taller. Our stories are written so that moment happens early.

Our mission, illustrated
Shine with Stories is dedicated to inspiring a lifelong love of reading by providing children and families with meaningful books, literacy support, and learning opportunities that spark imagination, build confidence, and brighten futures. Through the power of stories, we aim to help every child feel seen, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
